Lithology and Thickness

The Gara Mas Melouki Fm. is made up of sandstones and it is the lateral equivalent of the F2 Fm of the Illizi Basin, and the Tahara Fm of the Ghadames Basin (Klett, 2000).

Lower contact

It conformably overlies the Tin Meras Fm.

It is conformably overlain by the Issendjel Fm.
